Can Fell Ponies Have Markings?
Fell ponies may have a star, and white only on the hind feet, from the fetlock and below  including the hoof.  Blazes or white above the fetlock are discouraged.  As a mare owner, make sure the stallion you select does not have a history of siring foals with excessive white markings, challenging your foal's registration.

Does the FPS Approve Fell Stallions?
Fells do not have to go thru an "approval" process, but stallions do need a license issued by the Fell Pony Society (FPS).   Licensing is available to any Fell colt 2 years or older.  The FPS sends a form to your veterinarian, along with a DNA kit.  The vet performs an inspection detailing aspects of general equine reproductive health, vs. any particular assessment of Fell type or quality.  The horse must also be microchipped, if not chipped already.  The pony must not be used for breeding until the license is issued.

An amazing pony, an amazing journey...our path has come full circle as our farm was given the opportunity to import one of the best-producing performance Fell Pony stallions in the world!

Pictured: Bodini as a four year old in England
Bodini is the result of a "royal" match- the son of Rylestone Black Knight, now tragically lost to this world, out of a princess of a mare, Lunesdale Gypsy Rose, daughter of one of the best known matriarch mares of this day- Lunesdale White Rose.  Each pony in their own right a Champion, crossed to produce Littletree Bodini, who went on to not only claim titles in M&M Ridden and In-Hand, but has also in his young years produced his own winning progeny, taking championships at shows across England.
