Hiske is a beautiful mare with loads of straight, silky mane & tail. Her movement is balanced, engaged & most importantly, comes effortlessly beneath her. She carries herself naturally in a rounded frame, and could have excelled in dressage if we had chosen not to focus on her broodmare career. She is sired by Sleddale Eddie, a stallion I appreciate both for his lovely offspring and the good cross it provides against my own stallion lines. Overall, her pedigree is predominantly Heltondale & Sleddale, including some Waverhead as well.
Hiske has produced so many exceptional foals for us. Her 2009 colt DreamHayven Double Agent is an extremely typey, FPS licensed stallion, earning the title "Supreme Champion Fell Pony of the Year" in 2015 with trainer Nichole Jansen, in the FPSNA PPA North American awards program. She had one other foal in 2007 prior to joining Dream Hayven.
Hiske was shown in-hand prior to her foaling career, accomplishing her own championship, and some ambassador work as well. We retired Hiske from her broodmare career in 2020, and she is now working well under saddle showing promise as a trail and pleasure mount.
