Gelbrich (we call her "Gilly") joined Dream Hayven in the summer of 2016, having had a few foals prior and some ridden experience. She is predominantly a Townend mare by pedigree, although her tail female line goes back to Birkett Bank for four generations, back to before the studbook began. This is especially intriguing, as there can be found the historic Fell stallion Blakebeck Boy who sired one of those first recorded Birkett Bank mares in Gilly's pedigree.
Gilly has several lovely features, including the silkiest hair of any mare in the herd. She has a kind character, never a problem to catch or groom, and is a doting mother to her foals.
Gilly foaled a beautiful black filly (DreamHayven Raindrop) in 2017, by Stennerskeugh Danny Boy; a colt (DreamHayven Aristocrat) by Drybarrows Ambassador in 2019; a colt (DreamHayven Triton) by Stennerskeugh Danny Boy in 2020; a charming filly (DreamHayven Roulette) by Danny Boy in 2022; and a stunner of a colt (Cumberland Sceptre) by Murthwaite Talisman via AI in 2023.
Her sire, Wildhoeve Boy, a multi-Supreme Champion stallion, garnered titles from Overall Supreme Champion, 2003 NFPS (FPS Dutch Overseas Branch) Stallion Show, Overall (Supreme) Champion at the 2005 FPS Overseas Branch Stallion and Colt Show in Belgium (over Reserve Champion Lunesdale Beckham), and 2007 Champion, Approved Stallions, NFPS.
Gilly was the only filly out of her dam, Carrock Simone, so a considerable amount of maternal genetic material is living on through this special mare!
